Elliott and I went to
Woofstock in downtown Toronto yesterday. It's the largest
doggie festival in North America and is full of every possible piece of dog
paraphernalia you can imagine. Food, trinkets, toys, contests,
bling, etc. I bought Elliott a Toronto Maple Leafs jersey. Yeah it's silly and maybe a waste of money, but compared to what some of the dogs there were wearing like clown collars and goggles, it was among the tamest clothing purchases. The entire event was a trip. It was a hot sunny day, with thousands of people and pooches on leashes. As interesting as it was, every pet had a kind of dazed look as they
occasionally sniffed each other and urinated on each and every pole and table leg in sight. It was way too much for Elliott and me and although I didn't mean to spend so much time there, we ended up spending three hours there. We took the
TTC there and back which was also an adventure. By the time we got home we were both ready for a well earned nap.
